The Boroondara Community Stroke Hub would not be the success it is without it’s many volunteers who devote their time and energy to the stroke cause.
There are many roles for volunteers to undertake – from conducting sessions to making handmade cards to making a cup of tea for members.
We empower our members to do more and engage in activities in the community. One of the ways we do this is by engaging stroke survivors in internal volunteer activities at the Stroke Hub. The rest of our volunteers are made up of retired baby boomers, retired health professionals and teachers, University students studying in the health field, as well as high school students looking for community work experience.
If you have a passion for stroke and caring for others and would like to be part of the stroke movement, call the Hub Coordinator on 8529 5307.
